“I AM SOUGHT OUT!” Part II
“I AM SOUGHT OUT!”
A PUBLICATION OF HEPHZIBAH BEULAH MINISTRIES
Isaiah 65:1 reads “ I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.” Jesus is looking for you. Know that you are not forsaken. I am chosen for this task. I am sought out. “Thou shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.vs2 And they shall call them, The holy people, the redeemed of the Lord: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.vs12” Isaiah 62
“The Lord is our shepherd, I shall not want” reads Psalms 23. I don’t have to desire for anything. The Lord sought to look over us without our knowledge or consent. Descriptions of the Lord our shepherd, according to Psalms 23, he leads us in peace, he gives us rest, he restores, he guides, he anoints, he comforts, and he has preparations for us. As a believer signs follow me. The good shepherd’s confirmation causes goodness and mercy to follow me. I can measure my shepherd by the level of goodness and mercy that follows me, the believer. Further study into Ezekiel 34, we find the main role of the shepherd is to take care of the flock, to tend after the sheep, to search for the lost, to bring back the strays, to bind up the injured, and to strengthen the weak. It goes on to say in verse 5 that because there was no shepherd, the people were scattered. It says no one searched or looked for them. Because the shepherds did not search for his flock but cared for themselves rather than the flock, God makes a profound statement. He has taken on this responsibility of the shepherd. He will search for the lost and bring back the strays. He will save the flock and place over them one shepherd. Here it is in reference to David, however, this is a foreshadowing of Jesus’ the shepherd. God was looking for us! Thank you he found us.
It is so important to keep a consistent prayer life. This is our communication to him. When we are singing or reading our bible, we are engaging God into our lives. We begin to radiate because of the divinity we have built up from faith to faith. Similarly to the flashing lights on an airplane, the lighthouse for ships, and the front porch light at home, these lights radiate so that those seeking can find, those in the dark can see, and that an identification can be made. So it is that holy spirit that radiates out of us. It beams from the inside signaling here I am. It eases communication. When we know God’s personality, we can identify his voice. The Lord is seeking always to release the blessing on us, however, he has instructed we seek first the kingdom. When we are found doing what we should, then God adds to us.
The bible says Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, "The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest." Matthew 9:35-38. He went on to send out the seventy-two in Luke to go in front of him into each town. They returned with joy that even the demons submitted to them in his name. To which Jesus responded, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.” We have the power through Jesus Christ to get the victory over Satan and all his evil plots. We have the ability to free those in bondage to his strongman. We have the means to speak to lost situations, broken dreams, and financial demise with authority and tact. Jesus can empower us but he has to find us first. Matthew records he sent out the twelve disciples anointing them with the authority to drive out evil spirits and to heal the sick. He sent them out to find those in need of the blessing.
The contrast of God’s blessing and the issues of of being lost is demonstrated in the valley of dry bones in Ezekiel 37. These are dead man walking but God says I will bring my people up from their graves. I will put my spirit in you and you will live. When we receive the Lord as our shepherd, we choose the life he has prepared for us. Similarly to Jeremiah 18:1-10, we agree to let him shape and mold us as clay. He forms us into what we has called us to be. Jeremiah talks about shepherds in the context of the Babylonian rule. Jeremiah 50:6-7 reads “my people have been lost sheep; their shepherds have led them astray”vs6. They wandered and forgot their own resting place. Those who found them found it right to devour them for they sinned against the Lord, their true pasture. So it is sin to not be in God’s blessed pastures, even those who have refused Christ know it. They know there is something different about you.
The issue of being lost has a pattern or path demonstrated through the relationship of Judah and Israel to God. There is a path of the wicked which the bible states is large, however, the path of the righteous is narrow. How does one get lost? It would appear being born into sin, you don’t have to learn the way of the lost. It is inherent in our flesh. It is the righteous path that needs to be learned. The judgement on Judah and Israel depends on the situation, however, I will attempt to make some generalities. I found that the scripture talked a lot about idol worship or the reverence of other gods. It talked a lot about marriages outside the covenant. It discussed fornication and dishonoring your human vessel. It often calls the nations’ rebellious and disobedient. There are among these other commandments that were violated. I just wanted to make the point that there is a system to getting there and there is a way of escape as well. Some may argue, I am playing the hand I was given. This is a trick of the enemy.
The kingdom’s business is all about redemption. It’s all about revealing who we are in Christ. Christ adds to the church daily. He adds believers. Those who were lost but now have come into the knowledge of Jesus Christ. These signs shall follow those who believe. In Jesus’ name they will cast out demons, they will speak in other tongues, they will know no danger or fear, and nothing can hurt them. They will lay hands on the sick and they will get well. One knows who believes by the faith demonstrated through their works. It sounds like the believer has the same power as the disciples did. The church body is a functioning organism where each member has a place. Each one has the responsibility to bring in business and be a good representative of the king’s product.
The law of supply and demand from a business point of view says that as long as I have a captive audience who wants my product. I can supply it for a price. The higher the demand, than the lower the price I can offer. Order a box of pens and one will find that the price will be higher for 1 to 10 pens versus 100 to 500 pens. If you demand more, we can supply the pens at a lower price. You will also find this principle working in the job market of today in a different capacity. There will be a sector of jobs that because there is such a saturation of people looking to be hired, employers can begin to pay lower salaries for high profile positions. With the loss of so many homes, large amounts of people have damaged their credit for the short run, now there is a demand for apartments, condos, and house rentals. The demand for fair market prices cannot be filled in the current economic climate. When Jesus went about all the cities marketing the product of redemption. His pitch was so persuasive. His effort to find the lost was so fulfilled that he found himself in demand. He had to enlist and empower others to meet the demands of the crowds.
The blessing of being in demand. What a transformational difference now that the idols, which are called trash in Hebrew, have been leveled. Christianity is in demand again. In times of demand, like all good business entrepreneurs, one must supply. The kingdom’s business in times of economic turmoil is redemption. In times of great loss is redemption. So what better time to demonstrate the goodness of God, as when all hope is gone. When the task appears impossible that is when God wants to come in. When you put him in demand of your life, he will put you in demand in all that you pursue. David writes in Psalm 37:25, 35, I have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging for bread. The wicked flourished but soon passed away. They were looked for but could not be found. The blessing of being demand is that you are sought out, never
forsaken.
